History

Exhibition to mark Manchester's position as the European City of Science in 2016 exploring the boundaries between science and art though the lens of Chinese contemporary art. Also shown in collaboration with the Liverpool Biennial.

Taiwanese artist Chen Yin-ju presented a section of her 3 part project, 'Extrastellar Evaluations' which continued her research into art history, dystopia, and conspiracy though the exploration of mythological land of Lemuria and its inhabitants.

'A dialogue concerning two chief world systems' was inspired by the title of Galileo's Dialogo sopra i due massimi sistemi del mondo. The artist investigated the parallel world systems to explore what humans have have gained and lost through the exploration of science, including her communication with a channeler to connect with the god Hermes. Supported by the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture.
