History

A project held to mark the Lunar New Year and the year of the Rabbit held in the main gallery space of the Centre.

Facilitated by local artist, Steve Nutall, the project was based upon the artist's own idea of the lunar new year. The gallery space was converted into an area for creative workshops, art activities, and other information about the new year and the Centre's work with local community groups.

It included an open drawing rabbit competition, a rabbit model making area, and an online 3-D mask making competition. At the centre of the gallery was a large rabbit island which had been developed by outreach groups working with artist Matthew Pendergast. The area was also open for any schools or community groups who wanted to use the space.
