History
Pei Yuan Jiang was a painter interested in the notion of reproduction in art. The artist used a range of mediums to examine the line between the original work and the reproduction, and the possible implication a reproduction has on the meaning of the original work.
The artist had original planned to draw his works directly onto the walls of the studio. Instead, using pencil on paper, the artist re-created reproductions of famous artworks to explore the space between the original and the reproduction and create a new dialogue with the past. The works he developed were shown during his open studio on 22nd - 26th January.
