History

Scottish artist Pamela So's practice used historical references to address concerns surrounding her personal identity and western art history.

During her residency, Pamela So planned to expand her research into English historical wall papers by filling the walls, floor and ceiling of the project space with new patterns, which was a combination of the virtual and the real. During the residency's So developed an installation, TRANSplant which was open to the public in her open studio from the 9th June.

The artist also presented a preview of her work during the Re-fashion exhibition preview (5th May); held a workshop on making garments from paper (7th May);  and took part in the Centre's participation in the 'Chinese Market Saturday' 19th March).
